High Dam
High Dam is a charming tarn, a small mountain lake, located near Finsthwaite and Lakeside at the southern end of Windermere in the Lake District. Originally a natural tarn, it was dammed in the early 1800s to provide a water source for the nearby Stott Park Bobbin Mill, a working museum run by English Heritage.
