About the Location
Ladybower Reservoir is a large artificial reservoir located in the Upper Derwent Valley in the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire. It is the lowest of three connected reservoirs, alongside Derwent and Howden, and forms one of the largest expanses of water in the region.
Constructed between the 1930s and 1940s, the reservoir flooded the former villages of Derwent and Ashopton, adding a layer of history beneath its surface.
