About the Location
Padley Gorge is a narrow woodland valley in the Peak District National Park, located near the village of Grindleford in Derbyshire. The gorge is carved by Burbage Brook, which flows over rocks and small cascades as it winds through the trees.
The area forms part of Yarncliff Wood, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and is one of the best surviving examples of ancient oak and birch woodland in the Peak District.
